Day 1, Tuesday – October 5th: Travel overnight from your Home to Lima ~ Welcome to Peru!
Day 2, Wednesday – October 6th ~ Lima/Cusco: An early morning arrival from Lima finds us greeting Cusco, the Holy City, capital of the Incan Empire. Cusco, the Holy City, capital of the Incan Empire is situated 11,000 feet above sea level in the Andes Mountains. After checking into our hotel, we will rest during the day, acclimating ourselves to the elevation and to this timeless place where other dimensions open quickly and easily. In the late afternoon, we will have a group gathering to experience a closer connection with each other and pray our intentions together. The rest of the evening is yours to explore the beautiful city of Cusco and all of its treasures both modern and ancient.
Day 3, Thursday – October 7th ~ Cusco: “Navel of the Earth” according to the Incas is a warm and lovely city. The memories of its ancient inhabitants are still alive. The Incas developed an advanced awareness of energy and the knowledge of how to utilize each vibration for growth and transformation. Each temple was built at a specific point of power. Today we will experience the most important temples around Cusco. We open our special day welcoming our Andean Sister and Shaman friend Bernadette , a local medicine woman, who will guide us through a very special and ancient ritual.
During the Pago to Pacha Mama (offering ritual to Mother Earth) we will honor all the Gods and Goddesses asking for their blessings, guidance and wisdom as we express our brilliant selves into this world. This will also be a very special moment to give thanks to all the Spirits that guided us together as well as to ask their blessings for a transformational journey. Our initiation into the Incan Tradition has begun. After the ceremony, we will experience Saksayhuaman, one of the largest Temples of the God Inti (Father Sun). Here, we will connect with energies that support shifts in consciousness and in opening of our hearts. After our fun lunch break we will visit Qorikancha (enclosure of gold), at one time the home of the Ancient Golden Sun Disc of the Motherland of Mu. Free evening ~ sweet dreams!
Day 4, Friday – October 8th ~ Cusco/Pisac/Sacred Valley: We continue our celebration by traveling to the southern end of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, to the pueblo of Pisac. Modern Pisac is a picturesque Andean Village, typical except for the huge, spreading tree that dominates the central square. The village is best known for its Indian market, which draws hundreds of tourists each week. In spite of its popularity the market retains much of its local charm, at least in the part where villagers from miles around gather to barter and sell their produce, making it a special place to interact with the Quechua People (Inca’s decedents). At this local market we will see the real flavor of Peru; people dressed in their traditional and regional clothing, musicians playing the pan flutes, farmers with their many varieties of corn and potatoes (over 200), and of course the many artisans who hand-make beautiful wool and Alpaca rugs, blankets, and sweaters.
High above the present day village of Pisac lie the impressive Pisac ruins. The ruined city provides one of the finest examples stonework and panoramas at Pisac’s Inca citadel are magnificent. Terraces, water ducts and steps have been cut out of solid rock, and in the upper sector of the ruins, the main Sun Temple is equal of anything at Machu Picchu. Guido, our tour guide, will take those that desire to hike up for few hours to experience the energies of this special site. Later afternoon we arrive in our hotel near Urubamba city, check in and free time for meditation, journal, rest or session with Bernadette.
Day 5, Saturday – October 9th ~ Sacred Valley: After a good night sleep and delicious Peruvian breakfast we take a trip to Moray. Today we experience a magical place similar to the Mothers Womb. Moray hold us in nurturing, loving and warm energy. Here you will experience the mystery of the Incas, as we climb down to the center of the Earth, you will feel yourself in need of silence and time to just BE. We gather in a circle and allow the energies to express. All is possible when in Moray. So open your heart and let your Spirit guide you to heal, sing and to transform. Afternoon return to our hotel free time for meditation and for preparing our souls for tomorrow, our first visit to the Crystal City.
Day 6, Sunday – October 10th ~ Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu: In the early morning we will board a train to Machu Picchu. The breathtaking view of the Urubamba Valley, where time stands still, will be a special preparation for our arrival in the Sacred Crystal City, known as one of the Seventh Wonder of the World. After we check into our hotels in the Aguas Calientes village and have lunch, we take the local bus up to the mountain and 30 minutes later we will be experiencing one of the most special moments of our journey, a moment many of us have dreamed for along time, and now it has finally come true. Machu Picchu was a University where knowledgeable women practiced everyday spirituality. Before we enter Machu Picchu, we will gather in a circle of gratitude to evoke the presence and gifts of the Goddess. We then approach the original front portal of Machu Picchu and asking permission of Machu Picchu spiritual guides we enter its sacred walls. After our 10.10.10 Sunset meditation at Intihuatana, the highest point of Machu Picchu, we take the last bus down to the village where you can choose enjoy the recommended Peruvian food at Indio Feliz (Happy Indian) restaurant.
Day 7, Monday – October 11th ~ Machu Picchu: While all the visiting tourists are still sleeping, we will journey back to Machu Picchu for our Sunrise Ceremony. Afterwards we will experience the temples of the Condor, The House of the Chosen Woman, The Priestess Residential area and the Temple of Mother Earth. Free afternoon for private time with Machu Picchu and meditation.
Day 8, Tuesday – October 12th ~ Machu Picchu/Cusco: This is a free morning with many choices for you to explore. You might take a walk in meditation around the magical area that surrounds the village, go for a fun shopping experience in the local Indian market or return to Machu Picchu to hike Huany Picchu where you might experiencethe transformational properties or find your sacred space in Machu Picchu itself. Take your time to listen to your heart and the voice of your Soul. Our train departs to Ollantaytambo 1:00 p.m. arriving at approximately 3:30 p.m.?
Ollantaytambo, the Incan Temple of the Sunis also known as The Pyramid of Pakaritambo or The Dawning Place of Tomorrow. Here we will experience a profound energy that is somehow connected to six enormous pink stones that were mysteriously transported to this place. Prior to the Incas, this was a Lemurian Temple dedicated to Love. After visiting the special altar at Ollanta we gather in circle to close our spiritual journey and express our gratitude to each other and to Spirits for blessings us with this magical journey.
